AFL Automotive Recognized for Environmental Efforts

July 15, 2005 -- Frickenhausen, Germany – AFL Automotive in Germany was the recipient of the 2005 Oekoprofit Award for excellence and continuous improvement of its environmental management system. This award recognizes organizations for their environmental awareness with a cost effective focus.
"At Alcoa, we measure our environmental progress in many ways including awards and recognitions we receive from external organizations. We are especially proud that our local community has recognized our efforts and accomplishments in the environmental area,” said Peter Kleine-Herzbruch, EHS Manager, AFL Automotive Germany. “The Oekoprofit project has opened up for us the opportunity for networking and information sharing with other businesses and enterprises in the area to promote environmental improvements.”
